I'm not a registered user of 20 20, so I am unable to consult their hardware and operating system requirements. However, as Apple laptop and desktop computers are able to run the Windows operating system, as well as most flavors of linux, the biggest question is what kind of hardware connections does 20 20 require? For example, does 20 20 output to a laser cutter or guided router?

Or does it output to a specialized plotter? Many cutter and plotter manufacturers have adopted USB, Ethernet, or even wireless networking as their connection to the host - but there are still legacy systems out there. Also, some highly specialized software still require hardware-dongles on specific ports which an Apple computer may not have. Apple computers have USB ports, and many have Firewire 400/800 ports as well. All have Ethernet ports, and all support wireless networking. There are some devices available for purchase which may allow you to adapt a USB port to some other connection-type: research into the specifics is needed.

I suggest you contact the software manufacturer to ask what their hardware and connectivity requirements are; however, it is very likely that the software itself will function (with the proper operating system) when running on an Apple computer. Answered by Bret G from Topeka. Jun 5, 2012.
